Lead-time follows the deadline, not the clock — a tax filing gets a different reminder cadence than a one-day public holiday. The assistant carries that logic so the user doesn't have to.
Every card is scraped from a primary .de source — feiertage.net, the Bundeszentralamt, the per-state portals — and rendered in Auto / DE / EN / 中文 on the fly. The original link is always one tap away. QUELLE / SOURCE
Translation happens at read-time, not at scrape-time. The card stores the German original and a translation pair; switching language is instant, and the source link goes to the .de page exactly as the agency published it — QUELLE stays sovereign.
Stale data is the failure mode here, not bad UI. Notisa re-pulls each source on a per-source cadence — a weekly tax bulletin re-pulls weekly; a one-off Tagesordnung re-pulls the morning of — so the calendar reflects what's actually live.
